How Acupuncture Helps
Rest That Truly Restores
Good sleep isn't a luxury — it's how your body repairs and resets. When your mind won't switch off or you wake through the night, acupuncture helps quiet an overactive nervous system and restore your natural sleep rhythm. In Chinese medicine, restful sleep depends on a calm spirit (Shen) and harmony between the Heart and Kidney. Many patients find they fall asleep more easily, wake less often, and feel genuinely rested — without relying on sleep aids.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about your care and what to expect.
How can acupuncture help with sleep?
Acupuncture is used to support the body's ability to settle and unwind. Patients commonly come to us for trouble falling asleep, waking through the night, or never feeling rested, and we look at what is driving it rather than treating the symptom alone.
Will I need to stop my sleep medication?
That is a decision for you and your prescribing physician — never something to change on your own or on our advice. We are glad to provide supportive care alongside whatever they recommend.
How soon might I notice a difference?
It varies by person and by how long sleep has been disrupted. We will talk about realistic expectations at your first visit rather than promising a timeline.
Can herbal medicine help with sleep too?
Sometimes a formula is recommended alongside treatment. Because herbs can interact with medications, we review everything you are taking first, and we coordinate with your physician where appropriate.
